Nel 1989 il gruppo canadese JOHN LABATT di Toronto ha comprato la PRINZ BRÄU ITALIA SPA e la MORETTI SPA di Udine (UD) Italia, arrivando così al 3° posto come quota di mercato italiano di birra dietro alla PERONI e HEINEKEN.
La produzione di birra continua nei 3 Stabilimenti: San Giorgio di Nogaro - UD (Moretti), Crespellano - BO e Balvano - PZ, mantenendo vivi tutti marchi di birra anche PRINZ e sotto il nome societario di MORETTI SPA come testimonia una etichetta .
In seguito le due società italiane acquistate si uniscono in BIRRA MORETTI SPA con sede a Udine come si legge nella Visura Storica CCIAA 10 con data effetto il 28.09.1989 .
Qui finisce operativamente la PRINZ BRÄU ITALIA SPA . Considero un Produttore di birra completo con 3 requisiti: Società + Stabilimento + Marchio .
Nasce anche la MORETTI SRL con sede a Balvano (PZ) che acquisisce lo Stabilimento di Balvano località Baragiano Scalo il 31.05.1990 come si legge nella Visura Storica CCIAA 12 .
Nel Luglio 1995 la INTERBREW SPA ha acquistato il gruppo JOHN LABATT.

In 1989, the Canadian team of JOHN LABATT Toronto bought the PRINZ BRÄU ITALIA SPA and MORETTI SPA Udine (UD) Italy, bringing the 3rd place in market share behind the Italian beer Peroni and Heineken.
Brewing continues for 3 Locations: San Giorgio di Nogaro - UD (Moretti), Crespellano - BO and Balvano - PZ, keeping alive all beer brands also PRINZ and under the corporate name MORETTI SPA as evidenced by a label.
Following the two Italian companies purchased join in BIRRA MORETTI SPA in Udine as stated in the Chamber of Commerce Historical Visura 10 with effect on the date 28.09.1989.
Here ends the operationally PRINZ BRÄU ITALIA SPA. Treated as the producer of beer complete with 3 requirements: Company + + Brand Establishment.
Comes the MORETTI SRL based in Balvano (PZ), which acquired the plant in town Balvano Baragiano Scala on 31.05.1990 as stated in the Chamber of Commerce Historical Visura 12.
In July 1995, INTERBREW SPA acquired the GRUPPO JOHN LABATT
